If you’re somebody who thinks that researching and planning is half the fun, you’re probably not interested in a customized or pre-arranged tour. But self-guided tours offer a lot of advantages to many people. You may want to travel on your own to Switzerland, but just don’t have the time or first-hand experience needed to put together a good itinerary. Or maybe you’ve looked at joining a guided tour, but have restrictive travel dates that don’t match up, or a budget that won’t quite stretch that thin.
